REMEMBER IT FROM:
The Angels and Bosley spend a good part of this episode hanging around the legendary Magic Castle in Hollywood, gathering clues, putting on magic acts and setting mysterious fires.
FEATURED IN THIS EPISODE:
- "Magic Fire", Season 2
A Hollywood landmark nestled in the hills above the famous city, The Magic Castle is considered the world's most famous magic club and a much beloved destination for local and visiting magicians and enthusiasts.
An authentic Victorian mansion built in 1908 which was, in 1963, converted to its current state, The Magic Castle houses the Academy of Magical Arts and is extremely exclusive; it's accessible by private members and their guests only. The Castle features three different magic showrooms, as well as an elegant bar and restaurant - not to mention a room specifically reserved for holding seances intended to contact the spirit of Houdini. Way fancier than Madam Dorian's place . . .
Both the exteriors and interiors of The Magic Castle were used during the filming of Magic Fire. You can briefly glimpse the bar as Jaclyn Smith walks through to reach her table in the dining area, as well as a few dimly lit and wood paneled areas featuring vintage posters of famous magicians.
The scene in which Kate Jackson enters the club through the secret bookcase actually takes place within the lobby of the Castle; visitors really do enter through the bookcase, and really do have to say 'Open Sesame'! Amazingly, the books on the shelves are STILL there - same books, same placement as seen on the show. How can this be? It's magic!
