REMEMBER IT FROM:
The Angels play the ponies when they plan a scheme to trick a thief out of his stolen money.
FEATURED IN THIS EPISODE:
- "The Big Tap Out", Season 1
Bosley and the three Angels visit Los Alamitos Race Course to learn the ins and outs of track betting from an old pro, and later, Jill returns to the track to place a heavy bet.
Located in Cypress, California, about 45 minutes away from the Townsend Agency, is the landmark Los Alamitos racetrack. First opened in 1951, LARC was home to many major horse races and qualifiying meets, including that of 1955's favorite superstar, the quarterhorse Go Man Go, who helped keep the crowds packed into the stands at the track.
These days, Los Alamitos is still going strong as one of the premiere quarter horse race tracks in the United States. The track also happily encourages film and television productions to take advantage of this interesting location, camera-friendly horse trainers and crew, and its desertion on certain days of the week when film crews are allowed total access to the facility.
Down on the track itself, the surroundings are basically the same as they appeared on The Big Tap-Out; out front, things have changed somewhat, so it is slightly difficult to picture the entrance that Jill ran into when she came to place her bet at one of the windows.
