The Sheraton Townhouse
FEATURED IN THESE EPISODES:
- Love Boat Angels, Season 4 – While the Angels are off canoodling on the Love Boat, Bosley’s left at home for a pity mission involving talking to some lady while she’s trying to eat lunch.
- Taxi Angels, Season 5 – Much of this episode’s action goes down on the street corner right outside this building, including the opening scene where the taxi explodes.
LOCATION NOTES:
Though Bosley’s scenes last a while, the historic building itself is seen only briefly. The Town House was one of the most luxurious hotels in California when it was built in 1929, even making a brief background appearance in Charlie Chaplin’s classic “City Lights”, but the area was in a major decline by the 1970′s. During the time that Charlie’s Angels filmed there, it was being operated as a Sheraton hotel (you can glimpse “Sheraton-Town House” briefly on an awning outside) and was later converted to low-income housing in the mid 90′s.
Though no longer The Sheraton, the building still looks classy as ever – as of 1997, it’s listed in the Register of Historic Places.
