Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
REMEMBER IT FROM:
It’s the football field where the Angels jump and jive in their cheerleader tryouts, play a rough and tumble game against the Panthers, and the arena where they foil an international assassination attempt.

Dedicated as a National Historic Landmark in 1984, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum was commissioned in 1921 as a memorial to World War I veterans and was later rededicated to vets of all wars in 1968. The Coliseum has the distinction of being the only stadium in the world to host the Olympic Games twice, first in 1932 and again in 1984. It is also the only Olympic stadium to have also hosted Super Bowls and World Series.
Currently the home of the USC Trojans, the Coliseum has played host to a huge roster of major league sporting events. Sabrina’s favorite team, the L.A. Rams played all of their home games in the Coliseum until 1979, so she must have been excited to step out onto that field!
Used prominiently in three episodes, the Angels first visited the Coliseum in 1977 for the two-parter, which employs the indoor arena as the ice skating rink spotlighted in this adventure. Lots of exterior shots of the facility are featured throughout the show, as are its interiors including the arena itself, and the connecting hallways where Jaclyn trips up the security guards with a spilled bucket of mop water.
Next, in, the Coliseum is the setting for the bad guys’ heist, and is where the Angels take them down before the robbery. Its football field is also used for the big game at the end of this episode. Jaclyn and Cheryl posed for a couple of cute photos snapped out on the field. The girls visited again in 1979 for outdoor scenes on the football field in .
The Coliseum can be seen in hundreds of films, television shows and commercials besides Charlie’s Angels – it was used in Alias, Emergency!, The Amazing Race, Heaven Can Wait, and Beverly Hills 90210, just to name a few.
