WHY WE SUPPORT

Cheryl receiving Childhelp’s Woman of the World award, 1987

We support this charity on behalf of Cheryl Ladd, who began working with the organization during her Charlie’s Angels days. She has worked to raise awareness and funding to end child abuse ever since her 1979 film, “When She Was Bad,” in which she played an abusive suburban mother.

“At that time, no one was saying anything about this horrific epidemic going on in our country,” Cheryl said. ”I wanted to bring this issue to the forefront of people’s minds.”

As an official celebrity ambassador for the organization, Cheryl can often be seen attending or hosting Childhelp events, from banquets to golf tournaments.

According to Childhelp, more than 5 children die every day as a result of child abuse. Please consider making a donation to help victims of child abuse by clicking this link or the “donate” button at the top of this page. (You will be taken to Childhelp’s website where you can make a secure online donation.)
