WHY WE SUPPORT

Farrah speaking about cancer at a 1980 press conference

We support this charity in honor of our beloved Farrah Fawcett, who passed away in 2009 after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Farrah’s story, which she recorded openly in her documentary ”A Wing and a Prayer,” helped to raise awareness and destigmatize anal cancer, which is a relatively uncommon and undiscussed type. Decades before the disease would enter her own life, Farrah was educating the public as a national chairperson for the American Cancer Society, and urging women to get regular checkups.

We also support the American Cancer Society on behalf of John Forsythe, who passed away in 2010 following a struggle with colon cancer; Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, both breast cancer survivors; and Cheryl Ladd, who has been treated for skin cancer.

An estimated 1 in 3 people will develop cancer.

Survival rates are higher than ever, and with continued research they can rise even more. Please consider making a donation to help wipe out cancer by clicking this link or the “donate” button at the top of this page. (You will be taken to the American Cancer Society’s website where you can make a secure online donation.)
